1. Scope and operator
This policy applies to ChatChaos, operated by Meghashyam Bhandary in Karnataka, India. It covers visitors, customers, people mentioned in submitted conversations and people who contact support.
2. Information we collect
- Account and contact information, such as the customer’s email address.
- Submitted WhatsApp export files, messages, participant names and optional replacement names.
- Optional photos and context supplied for the report.
- The generated preview and full report.
- Payment identifiers, amount and payment status received from the payment processor. We do not receive or store full card details, UPI PINs or payment credentials.
- Support messages and basic technical/security logs necessary to operate the service.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to accept and validate uploads, generate and review the requested report, deliver the private link, process an optional unlock, prevent fraud and misuse, answer support requests, protect the service and comply with law. We do not sell personal data or use submitted chats and photos to train public models.
4. Permission for group-chat data
A conversation may contain information about people who did not place the order. The submitting customer must have permission to provide it for a private report and must avoid material they are not entitled to share. Participants may use our grievance process to request review, correction, restriction or deletion of material concerning them.
5. Service providers and human review
We share only what is necessary with vetted providers that help us securely host files, analyze content, review output, send transactional email, prevent abuse or process payment. These providers process information for the service they supply and are not permitted by us to sell it. A limited number of authorized human reviewers may access submitted material when required to prepare, quality-check or investigate a report.
6. Storage and deletion
The raw WhatsApp export is removed from active storage after the report is delivered. If generation fails, we remove it after closing the failed request. Optional photos and generated report data remain attached to the private report so the customer can access it. A customer or affected participant may request deletion at any time through our contact page. We may retain minimal payment, consent, fraud-prevention and transaction records where required for legal, tax, accounting or dispute purposes.
7. Security
Uploads and reports use unguessable private identifiers and access tokens. Administrative access is restricted. Payment credentials are handled by the payment provider. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use reasonable technical and organizational measures and investigate reported incidents.
8. Cookies and checkout
ChatChaos does not use advertising cookies. Essential technical storage may be used for security and basic site operation. Razorpay or another disclosed payment provider may use its own necessary technologies when you open checkout, under its privacy policy.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask what data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, withdraw consent for future processing, object to a use, or raise a privacy complaint. Verification may be required to protect the report and other participants.
