Export from WhatsApp on your phone, choose without media, and keep the file zipped. You can optionally add favourite photos separately in the next step.

IPHONE

Tap the chat name.

  1. Open the couple or group chat.
  2. Tap the contact or group name at the top.
  3. Scroll down and tap Export Chat.
  4. Choose Without Media.
  5. Save the ZIP to Files, AirDrop it, or email it to yourself.

Open the three-dot menu.

  1. Open the couple or group chat.
  2. Tap ⋮ in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap More, then Export chat.
  4. Choose Without media.
  5. Save or share the exported file to your device.
